The Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) exam is for individuals looking for entry or junior level cybersecurity roles. It proves to potential employers that you have the foundational knowledge and abilities necessary for these roles and that you understand the basic security terms, policies, and concerns in the field.
Pre-requisites for CC certification
There are no specific education or experience prerequisites for the exam. It is recommended to have basic IT knowledge, but the CC exam is meant to cover foundational knowledge on cybersecurity.
Successful candidates are competent in the following domains:
- Security Principles
- Business Continuity (BC), Disaster Recovery (DR), & Incident Response Concepts
- Access Controls Concepts
- Network Security
- Security Operations

Length of CC Exam
- 2 hours
CC exam time
- 100 questions
- Question format is multiple choice
- Passing grade 700 out of 1000 points
